H.E. Dr. Mohammed A. Abubakar, SAN, LIFE BENCHER, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1979. He has built a formidable career in the Nigerian Legal System where he has contributed notably to the legal institution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Bauchi State. He has a first degree and Master’s in Law and holds a certification in Legal Drafting obtained from the University of Washington, Seattle. M. A., as he is fondly called, has held several positions of authority in the country including but not limited to serving as a two-time Attorney General of Bauchi State, a Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in various states, a National Electoral Commissioner of INEC, a member of the National Judicial Council, an Executive Governor of Bauchi State and
Currently a Life Bencher and the Managing Solicitor of M. A. Abubakar SAN & Co. (Fortuna Chambers). A Chartered Arbitrator, Mr. Abubakar is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of London, a member of the International Bar Association, a Notary Public, and a Capital Market Solicitor, among others. His love for legal practice and decades of experience have made him an expert in civil and criminal litigation and election Petitions, amongst several others.

Mr. Mohammed is a distinguished and highly experienced Nigerian lawyer with decades of exemplary service in both public and private legal practice.
A former Chairman of the Bauchi Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, he has held several pivotal roles in the Bauchi State Civil Service and Ministry of Justice, including Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Director of Public Prosecutions, and Director of Civil Litigation, among other senior positions.
His extensive career reflects deep expertise in public prosecution, civil litigation, governance, and legal administration. In his current role as Head of Chambers at the Abuja Branch of M. A. Abubakar SAN & Co. (Fortuna Chambers), Mr. Mohammed provides strategic leadership, oversees complex legal matters, and upholds the firm’s commitment to excellence in advocacy and advisory services.

Ken is a seasoned professional, result oriented, diligent and hardworking team player. Prior to joining the firm, he was Administrative Officer at Delta Rubber Company Limited, Port Harcourt, Nigeria and latter head of Civil Litigations at Kemka Gbasam & Associates.
Mr. Kenneth Eke, an elder of the Port Harcourt Branch of the NBA, heads the Port Harcourt branch of the firm and is an expert on Election Petitions, Maritime Law, Criminal Litigation and Property Law Practice.
Inusa Danjuma Buzi, Esq

Buzi is the Head of Chambers of the Bauchi office of the law firm. He started his professional career by undertaking active private legal practice, appearing before every hierarchy of the Nigerian Judiciary between 2004 till date. Over the years, he has acquired a wealth of experience in litigation in various fields of law such as Labour Law, Family Law, Commercial Law, Constitutional Law, Banking, Law of Contracts, Property Law, etc.

Anietie Obot is a seasoned Nigerian legal practitioner with over a decade of experience spanning courtroom advocacy, corporate law, real estate transactions, regulatory compliance, and business operations.
As Senior Counsel at M. A. Abubakar SAN & Co. in Abuja since 2018, he leads firm operations, serves as Chief Compliance Officer, drafts and files court processes, represents clients in litigation, and supervises junior counsel, externs, and interns. His practice focuses on corporate advisory, property law, and solicitor services, with a strong emphasis on regulatory adherence and risk management.
Anietie brings a diverse professional background, including roles in procurement and legal oversight, legal research and property consulting, banking marketing, and education. He combines sharp legal acumen with practical business insight.

Usman Muhammad, Esq

Khadijah M. Abubakar, Esq

Khadijah is a dynamic and highly accomplished Nigerian lawyer with a strong focus on Energy Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
She holds an LL.B (Hons) from Middlesex University Dubai (2018), an LL.M with Distinction from the University of Reading, UK (2019), and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2021 after completing her legal training at the Nigerian Law School.
